Manager, R&D Strategic Partnerships (Genomics)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite

Base salary: $129,400–$194,000 per year, plus eligible variable cash programs and equity.

What you will do

• Lead complex R&D strategic partnerships and strategic account programs across matrixed internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Translate strategic objectives, agreement terms, and partner commitments into integrated plans covering scope, milestones, resources, budgets, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Establish and lead internal and joint governance forums, operating cadences, decision processes, and escalation paths.
• Drive delivery, track commitments, manage risks and issues, facilitate tradeoff decisions, and escalate barriers with recommendations.
• Manage external partner relationships and maintain alignment between partner and hirify.global teams when required.
• Improve reusable partnership tools, templates, governance models, and operating practices across the portfolio.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience leading complex programs and guiding cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, medical technology, or another regulated industry.
• Experience working with external partners and converting agreements, business objectives, and commitments into execution plans.
• Advanced proficiency with Smartsheet and strong capabilities in integrated planning, dependency and critical-path management, resource planning, risk management, change control, and executive reporting.
• Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, including the ability to drive accountability without direct authority.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Experience with strategic partnerships, strategic accounts, clinical implementation, early access, co-development, evidence generation, or product and workflow integration.
