US Accountant

What you will do

• Run the monthly and quarterly close for the US entity, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Account for SaaS subscription revenue under ASC 606, including deferred revenue and contract reviews.
• Manage intercompany transactions with the Belgian parent and support US GAAP to IFRS group consolidation reporting.
• Own US payables, receivables, vendor setup, 1099 reporting, and sales tax filings with external advisors.
• Document processes, operate internal controls, and prepare schedules for audits and quarterly reviews.
• Support ERP implementation, close automation, FP&A reporting, and variance explanations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience across Big Four audit and/or in-house roles.
• Experience with a public company or auditing SEC registrants.
• Experience in technology or SaaS, including subscription revenue under ASC 606.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, month-end close experience, and working knowledge of SOX controls and documentation.
• Strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and clear written communication for daily collaboration with colleagues in Belgium.

Nice to have

• CPA qualification or progress toward certification.
• IPO readiness, first-year SOX, multi-entity accounting, intercompany, FX, or IFRS experience.
• ERP implementation experience, including NetSuite, and familiarity with billing tools such as Stripe.
• Cybersecurity or developer-tools industry experience.
