Security Specialist/Senior Security Specialist (Energy)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Travel up to 35%.

What you will do

• Oversee physical security operations for corporate offices, including access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response planning.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, evaluate threats, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop and deliver employee security awareness and incident-prevention training.
• Collaborate with business units, HR, and leadership to align security practices with organizational goals.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
• Support investigations, incident reviews, interviewing, and fact-finding activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or security.
• Knowledge of property and personal protection practices, risk assessment, incident prevention, and security incident management.
• Knowledge of security regulatory compliance programs and investigative interviewing.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, tact, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
