Enterprise Risk Business Partner (Investment Management)

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work environment with remote and onsite work. Periodic domestic and international travel may be required.

Base salary: $110,000–$158,500 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise risk partnership for Operations and develop an understanding of business activities, critical processes, risk profiles, priorities, and controls.
• Provide independent risk advice and constructive challenge to Operations leaders, process owners, project teams, and governance forums.
• Facilitate risk and control self-assessments, targeted risk assessments, control evaluations, and residual-risk analysis.
• Monitor operational risk issues, incidents, losses, near misses, service disruptions, recurring themes, and remediation progress.
• Provide risk oversight for process redesign, automation, system implementation, outsourcing, vendor arrangements, and other transformation initiatives.
• Develop risk indicators, metrics, reporting, training, and governance materials while contributing to the Enterprise Risk framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6–8 years of experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, investment operations, internal controls, audit, compliance, or a related financial-services role.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk management, including risk identification, RCSA, control assessment, issue management, incident analysis, risk acceptance, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of investment-management or financial-services operations, including transaction processing, data quality, reconciliations, asset servicing, valuation, reporting, technology dependencies, and third-party services.
• Ability to analyze incidents, identify root causes and recurring themes, communicate complex risk information clearly, and prepare executive-ready reports and presentations.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, exercise sound judgment, and deliver high-quality work within established timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance tools.
• Experience with risk analytics, data visualization, or reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience in investment management, asset management, fund administration, fund treasury, custody, or asset servicing.
• Experience developing key risk indicators, risk-appetite measures, operational-risk reporting, and executive-level risk insights.
