Filtration Module Product Owner (Sorbent Modules)

Location: Opfikon, Zurich, Switzerland; hybrid with onsite work at least three days per week. Up to four weeks of remote work annually is available within any EU country.

What you will do

• Own the development of sorbent modules from approximately TRL3 to TRL6, balancing product requirements, performance, manufacturability, and scalability.
• Lead the lifecycle of new modules from TRL6 through product launch, service, and end-of-life.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, testing, and validation activities through serial production delivery.
• Collaborate with technology, development, and operations teams, suppliers, partners, and external collaborators.
• Support prototype fabrication and testing, troubleshoot design issues, and refine product performance.
• Drive improvements in reliability, manufacturability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of industrial experience in product development, mechanical design, or design engineering.
• Hands-on experience with material selection, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, Design for Maintainability, and Design for the Environment.
• Basic understanding of chemical processes and related energy and productivity trade-offs.
• Experience managing development projects from concept through implementation and coordinating cross-functional engineering activities.
• Fluent English and availability to work 80–100%; willingness to travel up to 10%.

• Experience with early-stage R&D, sustainable technologies, and product innovation.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and managing IP-sensitive collaborations.
