Merchant Operations Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Haywards Heath, United Kingdom. Hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days at home; remote working is possible on request.

What you will do

• Lead regular meetings with merchants, agree agendas, drive decisions, and follow up on actions.
• Manage merchant price changes end to end, validating accuracy and meeting turnaround deadlines.
• Own migration data workstreams, including preparing and quality-checking output files and tracking missing merchant data.
• Lead data gap analysis and coordinate with merchants and internal teams to close gaps before platform launch.
• Improve merchant profile quality and act as the main contact between merchants, Product, and IT during platform integration.
• Analyse merchant performance data and create reporting that highlights trends and anomalies for the Merchant Director.

Requirements

• Experience managing merchant, client, or partner relationships in a commercial setting.
• Experience in operations or analysis within payments, fintech, or related financial services.
• Required SQL skills for querying data, checking migration files, and identifying anomalies.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder environments with senior contacts.
• English is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CRM platforms and merchant or customer data management tools.
