  • Develop process flows that break complex assemblies into logical parts, subassemblies, and subprocesses.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable at scale.
  • Work with contract manufacturers across PCBA fabrication, metal and plastic manufacturing, and assembly to establish repeatable production processes.
  • Build prototype and production hardware hands-on, and develop tooling for structural fabrication and assembly.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering electromechanical hardware to specification in a startup environment.
  • Demonstrated direct or in-kind team leadership experience.
  • Hands-on hardware manufacturing experience, such as machining, fabrication, soldering, or assembly.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AUVs, ROVs, or other marine robotic systems.
  • Experience with pressure vessels, pressure systems, fiber optics, sonar, acoustic sensors, or marine navigation.
  • IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or J-STD-001 certification.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, MES platforms, NPI programs, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of marine corrosion prevention and subsea sealing techniques.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hands-on work across R&D transition, prototype development, and full-scale production.
  • Work in a growing startup environment focused on advanced underwater exploration and defense technology.
  • Equal opportunity employer.
