Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Learn and execute standard procedures for assembling, disassembling, integrating, testing, and wrapping complex tools and systems.
• Integrate sub-assemblies into equipment and support final build completion, crating, and shipment.
• Track raw materials and supplies, identify shortages, and support efficient movement of parts through production.
• Collect and interpret manufacturing data while identifying opportunities to improve assembly methods, efficiency, and quality.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Technicians to troubleshoot technical issues and execute corrective actions.
• Participate in 6S activities, issue tracking through the Z3 process, and the Request for Action Inbox escalation process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering principles.
• Willingness to learn complex system build, testing, and troubleshooting methods in a hands-on production environment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving extended standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, tight spaces, noise, and hand or power tools.
• Ability to work in a clean room and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
