Senior Software Engineer (Monitor Ingestion team)

Location: Remote, flexible in Serbia

What you will do

• Own metrics collection and ingestion end to end, from agents running on customer hosts and Kubernetes nodes to backend ingestion and processing.
• Solve performance, scalability, and correctness problems across the full telemetry pipeline.
• Lead technical design for features spanning agents and backend services.
• Collaborate with product and design on specifications and delivery timelines.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with at least one of Rust, Go, or C/C++.
• Advanced coding skills and a willingness to work across different technologies.
• Systems-programming experience with Linux internals, processes, control groups, networking, and file I/O.
• Experience building performance-sensitive software for customer infrastructure that is resource-bounded, robust to partial failures, and safe to run with privileges.
• Familiarity with horizontally scalable services or event-driven architectures.
• Fluency in English and the ability to collaborate across technical and product teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with eBPF, kernel-level instrumentation, or container runtimes such as containerd, CRI-O, or Docker.
• Familiarity with observability tools, telemetry, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
