Middle Data Engineer

Location: Remote within Latin America, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Build and optimize data transformations, models, datasets, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Use Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake, AWS, Python, and SQL to support analytics and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through testing and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and performance issues and improve platform efficiency.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders; participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Upper-Intermediate English level required.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
• Understanding of data warehousing, modern data platforms, and cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, software engineering best practices, analytical troubleshooting, and communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming data processing and large-scale distributed data systems.
• Knowledge of Airflow or Dagster orchestration tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, data quality, and observability frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
