Senior Analytics Developer (Power BI & Snowflake)

Location: Hybrid in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
• Build and optimize Snowflake data models, SQL transformations, and data pipelines for reporting and analytics.
• Develop governed analytics solutions with consistent business metrics, real-time or near-real-time reporting, and strong performance.
• Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and software engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Drive Power BI deployment, governance, lifecycle management, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation practices.
• Troubleshoot data quality, refresh, performance, security, and authentication issues; mentor team members and contribute to architecture decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data engineering, or software development.
• Expertise in Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience developing solutions in Snowflake.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, Agile delivery, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work in the hybrid role based in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other modern cloud analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and Data Sharing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, enterprise authentication, automated testing, and data quality validation.
• Understanding of AI-assisted development, analytics, or testing solutions.
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
