Marsh Risk Early Career Program, Summer Intern 2027 – Brokerage – Central Market (Insurance Broking)

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, Dallas, or Houston, United States; at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients.

Compensation: $25/hour.

What you will do

• Research industry trends, market developments, and other topics for client and team discussions.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to coordinate communication with clients and partners.
• Support projects and assignments while developing knowledge of insurance markets, client service, and risk management.
• Participate in team meetings, client discussions, and learning opportunities to gain exposure to insurance broking.
• Contribute to special projects and team initiatives during the 10-week internship.
• Prepare and deliver a summer capstone presentation to the team and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Liberal Arts, Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, or another STEM- or business-related major.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Interest in risk management and insurance, with a basic understanding of their role in helping organizations navigate risk.
• Service-oriented mindset and ability to build positive working relationships with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with permanent and ongoing U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Interest in one or more practice areas: Aviation, Casualty, Construction, Cyber, FINPRO, Marine, Cargo and Logistics, Multinational, Property, or Energy and Power.
