Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Location: Singapore; hybrid work with 3 days in the office per week

What you will do

• Build and enhance core platform features using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Own the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, prototyping, design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Design and implement modern APIs and scalable back-end systems.
• Ensure correctness, maintainability, sustainability, clean code, and thorough testing.
• Support business analysis, backlog prioritization, business validation before release, and communication with external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Mid-level software engineering experience with JVM-based languages, especially Java and Kotlin.
• Experience designing and implementing high-quality APIs and back-end systems.
• Knowledge of modern software architecture, relational databases, and the software delivery process.
• Experience with Spring, Docker, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Redis, Maven or Gradle, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, design efficient cloud solutions, and work through the full software lifecycle.
• Interest in financial instruments such as reference data, pricing, and corporate actions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of distributed systems.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design, BDD, or TDD.
• Sound knowledge of financial instruments.
