Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/Infrastructure as Code): Building reliable, secure and maintainable infrastructure for a Kubernetes-based SaaS platform, hardware initiatives and embedded deployments with an accent on automation, scalability and cloud-agnostic design. Focus on developing CI/CD and GitOps tooling, creating self-service golden paths, and operating production-grade platforms across public clouds and embedded infrastructure.
Location: On-site in Los Angeles, United States, based in the Santa Monica office

What you will do
- Support the Kubernetes-based SaaS platform, hardware division, and embedded deployments.
- Build reliable, secure, maintainable, scalable, and cloud-agnostic infrastructure.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines, GitOps operators, ephemeral environments, vulnerability scanning, and automated Infrastructure as Code tooling.
- Establish self-service golden paths that help engineering teams ship safely and autonomously.
- Provide in-hours support for US-based research and engineering teams and document technical decisions for asynchronous collaboration with Sydney.
- Enable Zero Trust networking across public clouds and embedded client infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Production Kubernetes experience and strong knowledge of provisioning production-grade clusters.
- Expertise with public clouds and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Linux distributions and system-level troubleshooting.
- Software development experience primarily with Go and Python.
- A pragmatic approach to system design focused on maintainable, sustainable patterns and low operational debt.
Nice to have
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- Public cloud certifications such as AWS SAA/SAP or GCP ACE/PCA.
- Familiarity with CNCF projects.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux CD.
