Compliance Analyst (Crypto)

Location: Full-time onsite role at the Melbourne office, Australia

What you will do

• Review customer accounts and transaction activity, escalating potential compliance concerns.
• Manage cases from intake through completion, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and compliance queries.
• Support data privacy and law enforcement enquiries.
• Contribute to regulatory gap analyses and maintain obligation and risk registers.
• Draft and maintain compliance policies, procedures and records.
• Track AML/CTF, sanctions and crypto-asset regulation while supporting compliance projects and process improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in AML, financial crime or online gaming compliance.
• Working knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, sanctions regimes, KYC and EDD requirements.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics platforms and on-chain transaction data, with a practical understanding of crypto from an AML perspective.
• Experience using AI tools and agentic workflows to improve compliance processes.
• Confidence working with spreadsheets, queries and reporting, plus strong written English for documenting investigations and decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage BAU work and projects with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Scripting or automation experience.
• A tertiary qualification in law, business, finance or a related field, or an equivalent compliance certification.
