Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Candidates in Hungary, Poland, and Serbia are prioritized; hybrid setup with one day per week in the office.

What you will do

• Identify business problems and select the data and analytical methods needed to answer them.
• Build, validate, and productionize descriptive, predictive, statistical, and machine learning models.
• Develop and evaluate LLM-based components for retrieval, extraction, classification, and summarization of unstructured data.
• Analyze large structured and unstructured customer datasets and transform findings into actionable business value.
• Design data science solution architectures and coordinate large project delivery using Scrum.
• Present findings, create data visualizations, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and educate colleagues on data science.

Requirements

• Strong AI exposure, including hands-on experience taking a model or AI system into production, is required.
• Practical experience using LLMs in analytical work and evaluating output quality.
• Experience with scaled data mining, statistics, or machine learning solutions.
• Python and its data stack, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and PyTorch or equivalent; R is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS, Spark, MLlib, cloud platforms, data visualization tools, and NLP or text mining.
• Master’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or a related field; fluent English.

• Experience in CPG, retail, or commodity trading.
