Software Engineer, Payments (.NET / Vue.js)

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain payment-platform features for merchant portals, hosted checkout, admin tools, backend services, and APIs.
• Develop full-stack software using C#, .NET 8, Vue.js, TypeScript or JavaScript, and Azure Table and Blob Storage.
• Integrate payment processors, gateways, terminals, and terminal software while handling asynchronous responses, retries, timeouts, offline scenarios, and updates.
• Build reliable transaction flows with idempotency, data consistency, fault tolerance, encryption, tokenization, and secure access controls.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests; participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and release readiness.
• Investigate production defects, improve diagnostics and logging, support PCI and payment certifications, and own workstreams from design through ongoing support.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional software development experience building web applications and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET, preferably .NET 8, including ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Experience with Vue.js or another modern JavaScript frontend framework, plus HTML, CSS, and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud-based or NoSQL storage such as Azure Table Storage and Blob Storage.
• Experience with Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, Agile or Scrum teams, and automated unit and integration testing.
• Ability to work on-site in Bloomington, New Hampshire, or Texas, and to troubleshoot web, API, data, and payment-terminal systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or transaction-processing systems.
• Knowledge of Azure Functions, Service Bus or Queue Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and secure software development practices.
