Senior Consultant (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid with at least three days onsite per week

Base salary: $130,600–$135,700 annually, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end cybersecurity projects and sub-projects within complex or international engagements.
• Report proactively to managers and clients while ensuring delivery commitments and deadlines are met.
• Contribute to business development through commercial proposals and identification of new opportunities.
• Manage client relationships and act as a cybersecurity expert across assigned engagements.
• Lead and develop consultants by validating deliverables, evaluating achievements, and strengthening technical and soft skills.
• Contribute to cybersecurity publications, internal initiatives, learning programs, events, and professional industry activities.

Requirements

• Degree in cybersecurity or a related field and at least three years of experience with a consulting firm, cybersecurity provider, or systems integrator.
• Experience with cybersecurity standards and frameworks including ISO 270xx, NIST, NYDFS, or FFIEC.
• Successful experience in at least two areas: strategy, risk, compliance, operations, data protection, offensive security, resilience, or training.
• Knowledge of IP networks, operating systems, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, web applications, databases, middleware, and cryptography.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, VPN, proxy and reverse proxy, EDR, IAM, MDM, DLP, CASB, and Office 365 security solutions.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CEH, GIAC certifications, ISO certifications, AWS Certified Security, or Microsoft AZ-500.
• Knowledge of blockchain technologies.
• Candidates without certifications may join the internal Cyber Training program through the hirify.global Cyber Institute.
