Head of Data & Reporting (AI)

Location: Porto/Matosinhos, Portugal; hybrid setup with no mandatory office days. Candidates should be based in the Porto area or willing to relocate to Portugal.

What you will do

• Own data and reporting within Group Finance across financial, operational, and management information.
• Translate board, shareholder, and business-unit needs into reporting requirements, functional specifications, and data models.
• Establish consistent KPI definitions, dimensions, reporting logic, governance, and quality controls across entities.
• Oversee the Snowflake data platform, including monitoring, incident handling, releases, and integration with NetSuite and CRM systems.
• Coordinate reporting acceptance testing and sign-off with finance leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Porto-based data team while managing priorities, roadmaps, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in financial reporting within a finance function.
• Strong knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, consolidation, and KPI reporting.
• Experience in a multi-entity organisation and in building or scaling reporting or data functions.
• Practical understanding of data models and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, plus hands-on SQL and dbt experience.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and experience managing senior stakeholder requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English is required; candidates must be based in the Porto area or willing to relocate to Portugal and be comfortable travelling.

Nice to have

• Background in finance, controlling, or accountancy; CPA qualification.
• Experience in professional services or a complex, growing organisation.
• Experience with Scrum, Jira, and peer review in data teams.
