TL;DR
Frontend Technical Lead (Gaming) (React/TypeScript): Designing and delivering high-performance gaming web applications while leading frontend engineers, with an accent on scalable architecture, reusable components, and engineering quality. Focus on building micro-frontends with Module Federation and monorepositories, optimizing performance and security, and solving complex real-time communication challenges.
Location: Hybrid in Bucharest, Romania or Helsinki, Finland

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers through coaching, 1:1 meetings, feedback, and career development.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance cross-browser applications with React and TypeScript.
- Drive frontend architecture using monorepositories, Module Federation, micro-frontends, and dynamic configuration.
- Build reusable components and shared frontend libraries while maintaining documentation and coding standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Backend, DevOps, and QA teams on planning, architecture, estimations, and delivery.
- Evaluate technologies and ensure performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of professional JavaScript or TypeScript development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading software development teams or technical projects.
- Production experience building modern React applications and scalable frontend architectures.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Zustand, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Tailwind CSS, Vite, Git, and GitLab.
- Experience with Agile development, CI/CD, code reviews, quality-focused development, and gaming products.
Nice to have
- Experience with private npm registries and shared frontend component libraries.
- Knowledge of WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, binary protocols, or other real-time communication technologies.
- Experience with video streaming synchronization.
- Exposure to cloud-native development and scalable web platforms.
