Technical Lead (React)

Location: Remote within Romania

What you will do

• Define frontend architecture and technical direction with client technical leadership, including framework, state management, rendering strategy, and micro-frontends or monolith decisions.
• Establish coding conventions, code review practices, linting, testing strategy, and frontend definitions of done.
• Set and monitor performance, accessibility, security, cross-browser, and device-support standards.
• Break down epics, estimate work, identify technical risks, and unblock delivery during sprints.
• Collaborate with backend/API, UX, QA, and architecture teams while communicating technical decisions and trade-offs to clients and management.
• Coach developers, run technical sessions, support hiring and onboarding, and manage technical debt, upgrades, and migrations.

Requirements

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and CSS-in-JS, preferably PandaCSS.
• Strong communication skills, proactive collaboration, autonomy, and ownership of technical decisions.
• Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive work, support decision-making, and improve quality.
• Ability to use AI responsibly by creating effective prompts, validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of final results.
• Must be able to work remotely from Romania.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful.
• Experience with Playwright.
