Financial Analysts Across Multiple Levels (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid; on site four times a year at 633 Third Ave, New York, NY. Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday.

Compensation: Financial Analyst II $95,000–$105,000; Financial Analyst III $105,000–$120,000; Senior Financial Analyst $115,000–$140,000. Published pay range: $92,700–$148,400.

What you will do

• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and long-range planning for research departments, programs, grants, and initiatives.
• Analyze financial performance, trends, risks, opportunities, and variances, and provide recommendations for fiscal management and strategic decisions.
• Partner with researchers, principal investigators, operational leaders, administrators, and finance stakeholders to monitor financial activity and address funding needs.
• Prepare and maintain financial models, variance analyses, forecasts, and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, funding requirements, and applicable financial regulations, and support audits and financial reviews.
• Improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and data integrity through cross-functional collaboration and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Financial Analyst II: typically 2+ years of relevant financial analysis experience.
• Financial Analyst III: typically 4+ years of progressively responsible financial analysis experience.
• Senior Financial Analyst: typically 6+ years of advanced financial analysis experience, including leadership of complex projects or initiatives.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems or ERP platforms.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders; strategic thinking, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting research finance, grant-funded programs, healthcare finance, academic medicine, life sciences, or similarly complex environments.
