Associate Scientist - Sample Logistics

Location: On premise in Pearl River, New York, United States. Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $60,200–$100,400. The role is also eligible for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Receive samples from global clinical and study trials and enter them into an electronic database.
• Track and document sample chain of custody, storage, retrieval, distribution, and disposal.
• Perform manual and automated sample aliquoting using freezers, BiOS, and Hamilton robotic instruments.
• Ship samples and laboratory supplies to internal and external testing laboratories.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and assist with maintenance of Hamilton robotic instruments.
• Complete and archive documentation in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to work on premise in Pearl River, New York, and permanent U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, handle bodily fluids, and lift racks or boxes weighing up to 10 pounds.
