Company

Develops very low Earth orbit spacecraft, satellite buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions for sensing, communications, and responsive operations.

What you will do

  • Design and develop VLEO spacecraft system architectures from early mission development through on-orbit operations.
  • Define system requirements, manage interfaces, and conduct technical trade studies across spacecraft platforms and missions.
  • Collaborate with GNC, avionics, payload, thermal, power, and flight software teams on subsystem integration.
  • Develop and maintain spacecraft performance budgets covering pointing accuracy, power, thermal behavior, and data throughput.
  • Support spacecraft integration, verification, environmental and functional testing, troubleshooting, and post-test analysis.
  • Partner with customers, payload providers, and vendors while identifying system-level risks related to atmospheric drag, atomic oxygen, and high-precision pointing.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in systems engineering or related aerospace roles, preferably involving spacecraft or high-performance hardware.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems including avionics, power, thermal, GNC, and payload systems.
  • Experience with system-level analysis, testing, integration, and cross-subsystem bring-up.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, or Python-based modeling frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and ownership of technical problems.
  • Regular use of AI tools to accelerate work, improve clarity, and increase output.

Culture & Benefits

  • In-person work environment focused on speed, calculated risk-taking, and first-principles problem solving.
  • Employee equity compensation.
  • 4% direct 401(k) matching.
  • Health insurance covering 100% of employees and 75% of dependents.
  • Parental leave, childcare coverage, flexible vacation and sick time, and 12 company holidays.
  • $100 monthly wellness benefit and relocation support.
