Solutions Engineer (AI and Data Analytics)

Location: In-office in New York City, New York (Midtown); candidates must be based at this location. Relocation assistance is not provided.

What you will do

• Build customer relationships and provide technical and business value in collaboration with Account Executives.
• Advise customers on architecture, design, implementation, and adoption of the Databricks Data and AI Platform.
• Develop working prototypes, demos, code, and reusable assets based on customer problems.
• Author reference architectures, how-to materials, and demo applications.
• Lead customer workshops, seminars, and meetups while scaling best practices in the region.
• Use AI tools to improve productivity and develop technical or industry specialization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Databricks Midtown office in New York City; this is an in-office role.
• At least 2 years of technical experience in a customer-facing solutions engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala, plus proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to prototype hands-on, learn by doing, use AI-assisted development tools, and interact confidently with customers.
• Ability to meet technical training and role-specific expectations within 6 months of hire.

Nice to have

• Experience with Big Data technologies and architectures, including Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
