Product Designer (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

What you will do

• Own design decisions across assigned Engage product areas, from problem framing and discovery through hand-off and release.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, designers, Marketing, Sales, Support, customers, and prospects.
• Create user workflows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Document product logic and edge cases, communicate design intent to development teams, and complete design QA before release.
• Conduct evaluative user research and usability testing to validate hypotheses and resolve design questions.
• Use and extend the design system while contributing new documented patterns to the wider team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience designing digital products, including ownership of a product area end to end.
• Product design experience in a SaaS company, ideally with CRM, ERP, or messaging software.
• A portfolio demonstrating both user research and UI execution, plus experience shipping web application features through development.
• Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with evaluative research, usability testing, agile collaboration, and distributed teams across time zones.
• Qualification in UX, Graphic Design, or Industrial Design, or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through a portfolio.

Nice to have

• Sound knowledge of front-end development technologies.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate research synthesis and everyday design work.
