Senior Software Engineer (React Native/TypeScript)

Location: Hybrid in Mexico City

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonuses or role-based incentives.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, test, and maintain a secure cross-platform desktop application for accessing databases, servers, Kubernetes clusters, and other organizational assets.
• Develop and evolve the hirify.global CLI as a unified command-line entry point to the platform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices for macOS and Windows releases.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, design, and other teams on technical roadmaps and multi-system capabilities.
• Conduct code and design reviews focused on performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineering peers and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building complex client applications.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React or React Native.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs and distributed backend services.
• Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining applications across multiple system boundaries.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, secure development practices, client/server communication, and technical trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native or cross-platform desktop application development.
• Experience building command-line tools, SDKs, or developer-facing products.
• Experience with Rust or other systems programming languages, or interest in learning Rust.
• Experience with security, identity, privileged access management, or zero-trust products.
• Knowledge of Datadog or OpenTelemetry for observability and diagnostics.
