Senior Hardware Engineer (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Design reliable, manufacturable schematics and PCB layouts for connected medication dispensers.
• Select and qualify components based on availability, cost, performance, obsolescence, and second sourcing.
• Build and test prototypes to validate functionality, reliability, and compliance.
• Contribute to certification and regulatory testing, including EMI/EMC, safety, and wireless performance.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation and work with contract manufacturers to bring designs into volume production.
• Manage design changes in shipping products and collaborate with embedded software, mechanical, and test engineers.

Requirements

• Substantial experience designing electronics that have shipped in volume, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware validation.
• Experience taking hardware designs into production through contract manufacturers and supporting production products.
• Good understanding of wireless connectivity, antenna integration, and EMC design considerations.
• Experience with regulatory and certification processes for electronic products, ideally in medical devices or another safety-critical field.
• Experience maintaining design documentation in a PLM system.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented approach and motivation to improve patient outcomes through technology.
