Software Engineer Lead (MLOps)

Location: Firstside Center Bldg, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; other locations include Strongsville Technology Center, Ohio, and Dallas Innovation Center, Texas. In-office position in the United States.

Base salary: $86,250.00–$172,500.00 per year; incentive-eligible.

What you will do

• Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions for complex business needs.
• Build and support batch and real-time data processing pipelines using Python, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud-based data services.
• Support cloud infrastructure, automation, platform operations, and MLOps capabilities across Azure, AWS, or comparable cloud platforms.
• Develop model deployment pipelines and operationalize AI/ML platforms and data-driven solutions.
• Apply CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes/OpenShift, containerization, monitoring, and cloud security practices.
• Lead complex technical initiatives, guide colleagues, resolve problems, and influence architectural decisions across organizational boundaries.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered instead of a degree.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifying education and experience.
• Experience with MLOps platforms, model deployment pipelines, AI/ML operationalization, and data-driven platforms.
• Experience with Python, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud-based data services for batch and real-time processing.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, DevOps practices, platform engineering, and automation; AWS or a comparable cloud platform is also applicable.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes or OpenShift, containerization, monitoring, and cloud security.
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives, influence architecture, manage stakeholders, troubleshoot, solve problems, and collaborate across organizational boundaries.
• Demonstrated ownership of mission-critical production systems and enterprise-scale platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, Apache Hadoop, SQL, software development, system and technical design, application delivery, testing, integration, and the software development life cycle.
