Senior DevOps Engineer (AI/MLOps)

Location: Remote from Virginia, United States; must be a US citizen and able to acquire DHS Public Trust Suitability.

Salary: $140,000–$184,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines for software products.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, infrastructure engineers, SREs, and other stakeholders to coordinate reliable software releases.
• Integrate automated testing and security scanning into delivery pipelines.
• Monitor, log, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline availability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation and provide guidance on DevSecOps best practices.
• Support the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cybersecurity data within the CDM Data Services solution.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to acquire DHS Public Trust Suitability.
• 6+ years of experience as a Release Engineer, CI/CD Engineer, or DevOps Engineer, including 6+ years designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security scanning.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Argo, or Travis CI.
• 4+ years of relevant experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• 4+ years of hands-on programming or scripting experience with technologies such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with version control and branching strategies for managing pipeline source configurations.
• Experience logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting pipelines to ensure availability and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with MLOps and ML integrations into DevSecOps processes and tools.
• Ability to collaborate with development, testing, product, and operations teams; strong problem-solving, analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in AI and MLOps integrations in DevSecOps and agentic AI.
• Experience in an Agile/SAFe environment using Jira, Confluence, or similar ALM tools.
• Expertise with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• In-depth understanding of networking, security, and Linux system administration.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or similar certification.
• Experience integrating MLOps, AI, and agentic AI solutions into the DevSecOps and software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience deploying and managing AI/ML workloads on Kubernetes with scalable, secure, and automated platforms.
