Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; Flex work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: €104,000–€156,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Define and implement strategic security controls and enterprise-wide security architectures.
• Translate security policies into testable, automated code to create non-bypassable compliance.
• Lead security research, innovation, and complex initiatives addressing current and future threats.
• Establish and govern security architecture standards, principles, and patterns.
• Advise VPs, directors, and C-suite leaders on security risks, investments, and the overall security posture.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders while driving security improvements across people, processes, and technology.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in security engineering and architecture.
• Expertise securing complex services and infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby.
• Expertise across multiple security domains, including network security, platform hardening, application security, data protection, identity and access management, and cryptography.
• Ability to design secure Generative AI and agentic systems, including RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, identity, memory, and authorization boundaries.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence executives and lead organization-wide initiatives.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as AWS Certified Security, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CKA, CKS, CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
• Experience with advanced threat modeling, nation-state-level threats, secure-by-design architecture, and resilient systems.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps at scale, distributed databases, big data, AI/ML pipelines, or high-performance computing.
• Industry contributions such as patents, published research, standards participation, or widely adopted security tools.
