Software Architect (Online Video)

Location: Full-time and on-site in Espoo or Turku, Finland

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, support, and maintain scalable and secure software systems for a product development unit.
• Lead and coordinate developers in delivering maintainable, highly available web solutions.
• Work with engineers and designers to turn functional requirements into production-ready systems.
• Develop robust infrastructures, tools, and processes that improve team productivity and software quality.
• Apply modern technologies, industry standards, security practices, and observability capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, technology, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of relevant software architecture or senior software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern web technologies, web servers, orchestration tools, databases, security, tracing, and monitoring.
• Experience building testable, maintainable, and highly available web solutions.
• Professional English communication skills at a fluent level.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Espoo or Turku, Finland.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Node, Python, C++, HTML5, React, Next.js, Electron, React Native, Java/Kotlin, mobile platforms, RDBMS, NoSQL, or S3.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux administration, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of OWASP ASVS or MASVS, network security, cryptography, production networking, and system hardening.
• Strong understanding of test-driven and agile development.
