Binance Accelerator Program - Research Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, or Taiwan. Remote-first, work-from-home arrangement; availability may vary depending on the role and team.

What you will do

• Design and execute experiments in reasoning model training, post-training alignment, test-time scaling, and systematic model evaluation for financial and crypto-native applications.
• Review and synthesize recent research from NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and ACL to guide research directions.
• Implement model variants, training procedures including RLVR-based approaches, and evaluation protocols with PyTorch and Hugging Face.
• Track experiments with Weights & Biases or equivalent tools and maintain reproducibility standards.
• Explore LLM reasoning alongside on-chain signals, market microstructure, and multimodal market intelligence.
• Collaborate with applied engineering teams to translate research into production constraints in a zero-downtime, 24/7 trading environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in 2026, 2027, or 2028.
• Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with PyTorch.
• Understanding of transformer architectures, large language model pretraining, and reasoning models.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools as part of research and experimentation.
• Work from Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, or Taiwan under the remote-first arrangement.

Nice to have

• Exposure to C++ or Rust.
