AI/ML Engineer Co-op Intern (LLM)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered applications that automate complex workflows.
• Build and improve data pipelines and support model training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Work with structured and unstructured data, including text, documents, and logs.
• Prepare machine learning systems for production deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, AI researchers, and product teams.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions while working on customer-facing systems.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student in junior or senior year, pursuing Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Coursework or project experience in machine learning or AI.
• Exposure to or interest in large language models and generative AI applications, including agents, retrieval-augmented generation, or reasoning workflows.
• Experience with or willingness to learn PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, with a proactive approach to learning and problem ownership.
