Flight Operations Engineer (Autonomous Defense Systems)

What you will do

• Plan and execute real-world test campaigns to validate the performance, reliability, and edge-case behavior of hardware and software releases.
• Lead live flight demonstrations for defense stakeholders in diverse operational environments.
• Deliver training on flight theory, autonomous mission planning, emergency procedures, and safe system operation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to debug issues and iterate on system designs.
• Deploy autonomous systems and manage tactical logistics, including command-and-control infrastructure and RF data links.
• Conduct final field validation and ensure mission readiness in complex real-world environments.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in flight operations, flight testing, validation of aerospace or robotic systems, or embedded robotics.
• End-to-end experience assembling, integrating, and maintaining high-performance FPV, multicopter, or fixed-wing systems.
• Broad engineering knowledge of flight dynamics, control systems, avionics, or RF systems.
• Strong documentation, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for training and public presentations.
• Comfort with a dynamic schedule requiring frequent international presence.

Nice to have

• Pilot certification.
• Experience with military or industrial drone platforms.
