IT Specialist (AI/Semiconductors)

Location: United States, with remote work or in-office work in New York City, San Francisco, or Chicago. Office hours.

What you will do

• Manage procurement, configuration, shipping, tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle management for company laptops and IT equipment.
• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, device provisioning, software setup, permissions, and secure deactivation.
• Administer SaaS platforms, licenses, user accounts, access permissions, SharePoint environments, shared drives, and documentation repositories.
• Maintain IT security processes including MFA, password management, endpoint security, access reviews, and role-based access controls.
• Provide day-to-day support for hardware, software, networking, cloud platforms, connectivity, and employee accounts.
• Coordinate with vendors and develop IT policies, SOPs, asset trackers, security documentation, and scalable workflow improvements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, internal IT operations, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience managing employee laptops, software tools, user accounts, permissions, and IT asset inventories.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Google Workspace, or equivalent productivity and collaboration platforms.
• Understanding of MFA, password management, endpoint security, access governance, hardware, software, networking, and cloud troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational, communication, independent working, and problem-solving skills.
• Full-time role based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting remote or globally distributed teams.
• Familiarity with device management platforms, MDM solutions, endpoint security tools, SaaS license management, and access governance.
• Experience documenting IT policies, security procedures, and onboarding or offboarding workflows.
• Exposure to compliance, data security, audit readiness, or access governance processes.
• Experience in fast-growing startups, research firms, consulting, financial services, or technology-focused companies.
