Senior Software Engineer (Monitor Ingestion Team)

Location: Remote, flexible in Italy

Salary: €54,000–€68,000 annual compensation

What you will do

• Own metrics collection and ingestion end to end, from agents running on customer hosts and Kubernetes nodes to backend ingestion and processing.
• Solve performance, scalability, and correctness issues across the full data pipeline.
• Lead technical design for features spanning agent and backend components.
• Collaborate with product and design on specifications and delivery timelines.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent production issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Rust, Go, or C/C++ and advanced coding skills.
• Strong systems-programming background covering Linux internals, processes, control groups, networking, and file I/O.
• Experience building performance-sensitive software for customer infrastructure that is resource-bounded, robust to partial failures, and safe to run with privileges.
• Familiarity with horizontally scalable services and event-driven architectures.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and product discussions and maintain continuous professional development.

Nice to have

• Experience with eBPF, kernel-level instrumentation, or container runtimes such as containerd, CRI-O, or Docker.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud providers including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with observability tools and telemetry.
