TL;DR

Ip Reputation Specialist: Proactively monitor and manage IP address reputation to prevent blacklisting and ensure optimal email deliverability with an accent on abuse detection and mitigation. Focus on configuring email authentication protocols, supporting clients, and collaborating with DevOps and software teams to improve automation and reporting.

What you will do

  • Monitor and manage reputation of IP ranges within infrastructure
  • Track DNS-based blacklists and take action when listed
  • Detect and mitigate spam, botnets, DDoS, and other abuse incidents
  • Improve and maintain email deliverability across platforms
  • Analyze and respond to abuse reports, maintain documentation and workflows
  • Provide technical support to clients on IP reputation issues
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Software teams to enhance automation and reporting
  • Manage and configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS, and other email authentication protocols

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in network/system administration, cybersecurity, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with IP reputation monitoring and email deliverability
  • Strong understanding of SMTP, SMTP relays, WHOIS, rDNS, PTR, and abuse handling processes
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies
  • Familiarity with major blacklist services (Spamhaus, Barracuda, SpamCop, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Linux and command-line tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) is a plus
  • Good command of written and technical English

Nice to have

  • Experience in hosting or ISP industry
  • Experience with abuse automation or ticketing systems
  • Security certifications (CEH, CompTIA Security+)
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Graylog, Grafana)
