Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager (Property & Casualty Insurance)

Location: Denver, Colorado — hybrid, with office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week or more depending on the role.

Salary: $83,265–$102,000 per year in Denver.

What you will do

• Own daily servicing for a small commercial insurance book, including endorsements, certificates of insurance, coverage questions, premium audits, billing disputes, cancellations, reinstatements, and renewals.
• Explain coverage, exclusions, and exposures to insureds while coordinating with carriers and licensed producers.
• Use payroll data to identify FEIN mismatches, new-state hires, class-code drift, and other potential coverage gaps.
• Manage cancellation and non-payment queues, claims intake, status reporting, and hand-offs to carrier adjusters.
• Document recurring cases as product specifications and partner with product and engineering to automate certificate generation, endorsement submissions, and intake triage.
• Create SOPs, escalation paths, and service standards for the function.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of end-to-end commercial lines service experience at an independent agency, brokerage, or carrier.
• Strong Workers' Compensation experience, including class codes, experience modifiers, premium audits, and state-specific requirements.
• Experience with carrier portals and coordination with carrier underwriting and servicing teams.
• Practical AI and automation experience in service work, including drafting, summarization, triage, or outreach.
• Active Property & Casualty producer license, preferably as a Colorado resident, or willingness to obtain one within 90 days; coursework and exams are sponsored.
• Compliance awareness regarding licensing, carrier approval, and documentation requirements.

Nice to have

• Pay-as-you-go Workers' Compensation experience.
• Industry designations such as CISR, CIC, AAI, ACSR, or CPCU.
• Existing multi-state or nonresident licenses.
• Experience at a digital agency, insurtech, or MGA, or experience building a service function from scratch.
