Consultant, Fraud Analytics

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; the proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Design and deliver moderately complex statistical analyses to support fraud monitoring, detection, and prevention.
• Analyze fraud trends and develop, evaluate, and improve detection algorithms and monitoring strategies.
• Apply predictive modeling techniques including optimization, neural networks, logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, and sampling.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for fraud mitigation rules and support rules implementation.
• Create and maintain SAS, SQL, Alteryx, and Python programs for accessing and analyzing decision-support data.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to deploy fraud solutions and communicate analytical findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of analytical experience in data science-related roles, or significant experience in fraud, analytics, or risk management.
• Degree or diploma in analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business management, or a related field.
• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Miner, Tableau, and/or SQL.
• Strong analytical, database querying, programming, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location, with a valid work or study permit where applicable.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
