Director, Technical Program Management (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of strategic, technically complex programs across quantum hardware, software, product development, research, and commercialization.
• Coordinate proposal development and delivery for customers and partners in Japan.
• Align Sales, Offering Management, Customer Success, Legal, Technical, and Research teams around priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage cross-functional execution across hardware engineering, software development, product management, research, and business teams.
• Identify program risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and resource constraints, and lead executive program reviews.
• Develop portfolio governance, KPI reporting, scalable processes, and operating mechanisms that improve execution effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience leading complex technical programs in advanced technology, hardware, software, aerospace, semiconductor, cloud, deep-tech, or research-driven environments.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing Technical Program Managers, Project Managers, or related professionals.
• Experience delivering cross-functional programs involving multiple technical disciplines and executive stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, systems engineering, product development, and program management methodologies.
• Experience developing and managing program portfolios with significant organizational impact.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in quantum computing, advanced computing, AI, machine learning, semiconductor technology, aerospace, or other cutting-edge technology sectors.
• Experience implementing scalable governance and operational excellence frameworks.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, or related certifications.
• Strong technical acumen, executive communication, stakeholder management, and experience in ambiguous innovation-driven environments.
