Product Analyst / Senior Product Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Fully remote within California, United States

Salary: $80,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Analyze product, pricing, underwriting, and business performance data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical models for strategic decision-making.
• Monitor product performance and recommend improvements to profitability and customer outcomes.
• Conduct data mining, root cause analysis, market research, and business performance reviews.
• Support product enhancements, rate, rule, and form filing analysis, implementation, testing, validation, and quality assurance.
• Translate complex data into business recommendations and collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Business Intelligence, and IT teams.

Requirements

• Experience working for an insurance carrier, MGA, or insurance organization.
• Experience in product analytics, business analytics, pricing analysis, underwriting analytics, or a related analytical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets.
• Product Analyst level: 0–3 years of relevant experience; Senior Product Analyst level: 3+ years of Product Analyst or related experience.
• Must be able to work remotely from California.

Nice to have

• Property and casualty, personal auto, or non-standard auto insurance experience.
• SQL experience for data analysis and reporting.
• Tableau or other reporting and dashboard tools.
• Python, R, or statistical modeling experience.
• Experience supporting Product Management, Underwriting, Pricing, or Actuarial functions.
