CSV CU and eMobility Technical Project Lead (Automotive)

Location: Yokohama, Japan; on-site customer debugging and troubleshooting activities and overseas business trips are required.

What you will do

• Lead the technical introduction of product-line portfolios for local OEM customers and coordinate activities toward customer and company milestones.
• Act as the technical bridge between the customer, project management, sales, research and development, and product development teams.
• Clarify, negotiate, and propose software system and application designs, and lead software architecture and function design reviews.
• Coordinate technical meetings, design requests, specifications, milestones, reviews, change topics, and customer document exchanges.
• Support software reflashing, initial issue analysis, root-cause and countermeasure reporting, vehicle testing, and customer reporting.
• Coordinate sample delivery, parts maturity, internal budgets, design-to-cost activities, and on-site troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience with clusters or ECUs, embedded development, and software validation and verification.
• Understanding of automotive networks including CAN, LVDS, and Ethernet.
• Knowledge of requirements tools such as DOORS, change and version management, and software and systems engineering.
• Structured technical problem-solving skills, including FTA, 5 Why, Quick DR, or DRBFM, plus planning and organization skills.
• Native Japanese communication skills and English communication and presentation skills are required.

Nice to have

• Key discipline experience in software, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or systems engineering.
• Experience with automotive trend technologies and customer-facing technical discussions.
