Company

hirify.global develops launch vehicles, including Terran R, to deliver customer payloads to orbit and advance space exploration and innovation.

What you will do

  • Design, test, and analyze custom high-speed electronics for the Terran R launch vehicle.
  • Own hardware development from concept and board bring-up through design verification, qualification, production, integration, and vehicle operations.
  • Develop high-speed serial interfaces, memory interfaces, and electronics using SoCs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGAs.
  • Lead signal-integrity and power-integrity activities, including channel analysis, equalization, PDN design, decoupling, and impedance analysis.
  • Drive requirements capture, design reviews, verification, and other rigorous engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams, while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience designing electronics for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
  • Expertise in high-speed digital design, signal integrity, power integrity, controlled-impedance stackups, transmission lines, crosstalk, reflections, equalization, PDN design, and high-current, low-voltage SoC and FPGA power delivery.
  • Experience with eCAD software such as Altium or equivalent.
  • Experience leading engineering processes and developing integrated electronics with highly cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical communication and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

  • Embedded software, real-time control systems, FPGA toolchains, SoC platforms, and hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Reliability and manufacturability practices, including DFMEA, accelerated life testing, qualification testing, and environmental testing.
  • High-speed link verification using SI/PI simulation, IBIS/IBIS-AMI, S-parameters, VNAs, TDR/TDT, oscilloscopes, BERTs, eye diagrams, jitter, and compliance measurements.
  • Safety-critical design standards such as DO-254, MIL-STD-1553, or IPC-A-610.

Culture & Benefits

  • High ownership and autonomy across avionics design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and operations.
  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Generous paid time off and sick leave.
  • Parental leave and an annual learning and development stipend.
  • Collaborative work across engineering and company functions.
