Senior Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Capacity (Automotive)

What you will do

• Plan and execute complex manufacturing facility upgrades and production-line implementations from early concepts through commissioning.
• Own multiple CapEx projects supporting critical hardware subassemblies for current and next-generation vehicle platforms.
• Manage technical relationships, schedules, requirements, and deliverables with equipment integrators, suppliers, and engineering partners.
• Coordinate Manufacturing, Hardware, Facilities, Program Management, and Supply Chain through project-level RASICs and cross-functional planning.
• Maintain integrated schedules, capital expenditure budgets, and risk mitigation plans while resolving critical-path issues.
• Prepare technical, financial, and program updates for department leadership and steering teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of technical program management or operations experience, including large-scale industrial CapEx projects or facility build-outs from concept through commissioning.
• Deep expertise in industrial automation and production and assembly processes for mid- to high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with factory design, layout planning, equipment installation, and large capital equipment projects.
• Ability to negotiate with external vendors, develop project requirements and Statements of Work, and build consensus across technical teams.
• Exceptional communication skills for synthesizing complex technical and financial information into actionable leadership updates.

Nice to have

• Experience with Design for Manufacturability and New Product Introduction alongside Product Development or Hardware Engineering teams.
• Experience with sensors, optics, high-performance compute, telematics, or other advanced hardware development and industrialization.
• Experience scaling manufacturing environments in robotics, consumer electronics, automotive, electric vehicles, aerospace, data center hardware, or advanced robotics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Smartsheet, or MS Project.
