Principal Data Scientist

Location: Office, home, or a combination of both; hiring is possible in any country where hirify.global has a legal entity.

What you will do

• Partner with business leads and cross-functional teams on product and business problems.
• Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, statistical methods, and data presentation to develop business strategies.
• Develop and test hypotheses using analytical methodologies, frameworks, and technical approaches.
• Identify opportunities to improve products and business performance, influencing roadmaps through insights and recommendations.
• Forecast and monitor key product metrics to measure product success and understand trends.
• Communicate analytical insights through clear storytelling and presentations to company leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and another data manipulation language such as Python or R.
• Expertise in data storytelling and at least one visualization tool, such as Tableau, R-Shiny, MicroStrategy, SAP BusinessObjects, or Looker.
• Strong knowledge of statistical concepts including regression, A/B testing, clustering, and probability.
• Experience leading projects or programs that produced measurable business impact through analytics.
• Experience advising, presenting to, and partnering with senior executives.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Understanding of the SaaS business model and its key metrics.
