Business Operations Manager (Supply Chain Resilience)

Location: Bastrop, Texas, United States; on-site role with travel to customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and events as needed

SpaceX develops launch, spacecraft, and satellite technologies, including Starlink, a broadband internet system and satellite constellation.

What you will do

• Own Starlink supply chain resilience and develop end-to-end strategies for global and domestic supply corridors.
• Plan for production continuity during regional disruptions, natural disasters, supply emergencies, and geopolitical events.
• Quantify critical-path bottlenecks and define time-to-survive and time-to-recover metrics for major assemblies.
• Develop executive contingency playbooks and coordinate cross-functional implementation.
• Partner with hardware and manufacturing engineering to eliminate single-source dependencies and expand the vendor landscape.
• Use data analysis and business recommendations to support near-term execution and long-term planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, data science, physics, or another quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product management, operations, FP&A, consulting, banking, or entrepreneurship.
• 4+ years of experience with Excel or programming.
• Strong analytical modeling and data-handling skills; proficiency with SQL and Python is preferred.
• Ability to interpret income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorization.

Nice to have

• Quantitative dual degree in engineering and economics or business, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience driving measurable impact and influencing a broader organization.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar analytical tools.
• Experience communicating analytical recommendations to senior business leaders.
