Communications Lead (AI)

Location: Pecan Island, Louisiana, United States; full-time onsite work required. Hybrid and remote work will not be considered. Travel to other SpaceX facilities and events may be required.

What you will do

• Coordinate tactical public relations activities, logistical planning, and community outreach.
• Maintain relationships with community partners and other key stakeholders.
• Develop communication strategies highlighting SpaceX’s mission, affiliates, and positive community impact, including the role of artificial intelligence.
• Prepare executives and company leaders for speaking engagements through communications training, presentations, and supporting materials.
• Work cross-functionally on strategic initiatives and implement communication programs for priority and crisis situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in communications, events, or content development.
• Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex issues for multiple audiences.
• Strong understanding of social media strategies and tactics.
• Must work onsite full-time in Pecan Island, Louisiana; hybrid and remote work are not available.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

• Communications, events, or content development experience in a highly technical environment.
• Strategic and critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, results-oriented environments and managing multiple projects under deadline pressure.
