Research Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade services, tools, and infrastructure for the Security Research group.
• Translate security research prototypes into robust, maintainable production features.
• Build APIs, services, and data pipelines integrated with the hirify.global platform.
• Improve the scalability, performance, and maintainability of research-driven systems.
• Collaborate with Security Research, Product, Platform, DevOps, and engineering teams on customer-facing capabilities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering or software infrastructure development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production backend systems.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers, iterate quickly, and maintain production-quality code.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity or cloud security.
• Familiarity with Attack Surface Management, CNAPP, offensive security, or cloud-native technologies.
