Senior Software Developer — Malware Research Platform (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end development, code review, testing, documentation, and releases for an internal malware research platform.
• Translate malware researchers' workflows, feature requests, tacit knowledge, and edge cases into reliable agentic tooling.
• Design production agentic workflows and decide when to use agents, deterministic code, or human-in-the-loop processes.
• Make architecture and design trade-offs, establish technical standards, and manage execution, estimation, and task sequencing.
• Build evaluations and guardrails that measure agent quality and prevent regressions.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions while contributing to complex features and bug fixes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience delivering production products.
• Strong Python, including asyncio, modern typing, and disciplined testing with pytest.
• Production experience with Playwright and LLM-powered agentic systems that plan, call tools, and execute multi-step tasks.
• Experience with a modern agent framework such as LangGraph, the Anthropic Claude Agent SDK, the OpenAI Agents SDK, or DSPy.
• Experience building agent evaluations and guardrails using tools such as MLflow GenAI evaluation and tracing, LangSmith, or Braintrust.
• Experience leading development efforts, mentoring developers, and building tools for internal expert users.

Nice to have

• Background in cybersecurity, malware research, threat intelligence, or a related security domain.
• Experience with reverse-engineering tools, sandboxes, or malware-analysis pipelines.
• Experience with RAG, retrieval pipelines, vector stores such as pgvector, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, and observability tools.
